Session 1: Control and optimization of power converter
In Session 1, participants will explore control techniques for power converters, including simple PID controller, tuning of PID Controller for Power Converter and Tuning of PID controller for Power converter using optimization method.
Session 2: Power converters for renewable energy conversion
Session 2 will focus on the application of power converters in renewable energy systems, such as solar photovoltaic and wind. Participants will learn about grid integration, and control strategies for maximizing energy extraction from renewable sources.
Session 3: power converters for EV Charging
In Session 3, the workshop will cover the design and implementation of power converters for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Topics will include fast-changing technologies, bidirectional power flow control, and grid interaction for EV charging stations.
Topics To be Covered:
Session 1: Control and optimization of power converter
1. Design of L & C parameter for Buck and Boost converter.
2. Open Loop Simulation of Buck and Boost converter.
3. Designing of PID controller parameter for closed-loop control of Buck and Boost converter with PID Tuning app and optimization Method.
Session 2: power converters for renewable energy conversion
1. Modelling of PV and wind with power converters for maximum power extraction.
2. Modelling of grid integrated PV and wind system with AC power converters.
Session 3: power converters for EV Charging
1. Modelling of EV Charging system with DC power converters
2. Modelling of grid integrated EV charging system with AC power converters.
